The Dayton Audio BST-2 is a 35 W tactile bass shaker (transducer) at 4 ohms with a 10-80 Hz response for sim racing, gaming and home cinema that turns your seat or cockpit into a surface that vibrates with the deepest bass.

Unlike a speaker, the BST-2 doesn't reproduce audible sound: it captures frequencies too low to hear and converts them into physical vibration, so you feel the explosion, the thunder or the engine without turning up the volume. Its cast aluminium housing dissipates heat for a long service life, the dual suspension keeps a linear motion free of noise, and it includes 24" (61 cm) attached leads and a foam gasket for quick, rattle-free mounting on any flat surface.

Compatibility

The BST-2 needs a bass shaker amplifier that supports 4 ohms; Dayton Audio recommends the SA70 for one or two units, the APA150 for four (series-parallel at 4 ohms) and the BSA-200 for six (series-parallel at 6 ohms). In sim racing it's driven from PC with SimHub or other telemetry software, and it also adds impact to home cinema and gaming. Apply a low-pass filter at 80 Hz or below to remove unwanted high frequencies. You can add the dedicated BST-2 mounting kit for a clean fit.
