What is the difference between the DOF Reality HERO and PRO series?

The HERO series (H2, H3, H4 and H6) is the home range. The PRO series (P2, P3 and P6) is designed for intensive and commercial use: it is faster and supports heavier drivers, for example up to 200 kg on the P2 PRO compared with 150 kg on the H2 HERO.

How many degrees of freedom do I need?

With 2 DOF (pitch and roll) you feel acceleration, braking and cornering load. 3 DOF adds yaw with rear traction loss, 4 DOF adds vertical heave and 6 DOF reproduces all six axes. 2 DOF platforms can be upgraded later: the H2 to H3 and H6, and the P2 to P3 and P6.

Do DOF Reality platforms work on console?

Yes, they are compatible with PC, PlayStation and Xbox. If you only play on console, the MagicBox for PS/XBOX runs Sim Racing Studio and handles motion without a Windows PC.

Can I use a DOF Reality platform for flight simulation?

Yes. The platforms come in a flight version with smoother gearboxes, and there is a HOTAS mount, an adapter for the Honeycomb Alpha yoke and Bravo throttle, and a pedal quick release to swap between racing and flight pedals.

DOF Reality at Simufy: motion platforms for sim racing and flight

DOF Reality makes full motion platforms for sim racing and flight simulation: the seat, wheel, pedals and mounted screen all move together. They are compatible with PC, PlayStation and Xbox, and include a SimRacingStudio licence, which turns game telemetry into motion.

The range is split into two series. The HERO series, for home use, includes the H2 (2 DOF), the H3 (3 DOF with rear traction loss), the H4 (4 DOF with heave) and the H6 (6 DOF). The PRO series, for intensive and commercial use, includes the P2, P3 and P6, with higher speed and a higher weight capacity. 2 DOF platforms can be upgraded later.

To complete the platform there are accessories such as the integrated VESA monitor mount, the eBreak emergency stop, transport wheels, the Buttkicker mount, flexible and metal protective covers, dampers, lift supports for 6 DOF and the MagicBox for console play without a PC. For flight there is a HOTAS mount, a Honeycomb Alpha/Bravo adapter and a pedal quick release.
