Enhance your simulation experience. Heusinkveld introduces some of the highest quality, most adjustable, and most realistic-feeling pedals on the market: the Heusinkveld Sim Pedals Ultimate+. Developed and tested by world-class GT, single-seater, and esports drivers, this high-end pedal set can be used in the most demanding environments. Capable of simulating force loads as high as those found in real-life GT and F1 cars.

Engineering

Designed using CAD and FEA, all structural parts are made of high-precision CNC laser-cut stainless steel with a glass-peened finish. The pedals are strong, stiff, compact, and durable. Mathematical models were used to calculate pedal travel and operating force, accurately predicting how each pedal feels in every possible configuration.

Design tolerances have been optimized to maintain minimal play in each assembly. All key pivot points have plain bearings and have undergone automated durability testing to ensure functionality after one million service cycles.

Custom-made brake elastomers provide a realistic, progressive feel and maintain their characteristics even after thousands of races.

Hydraulic damping

The Sim Pedals Ultimate's custom hydraulic dampers are ultra-reliable and require no periodic maintenance. Even in the unlikely event of a failure, all hydraulic dampers can be easily removed while the pedal still retains its basic functionality, as the pedal sensors are separated from the hydraulic circuit.

Sensors & Outputs

The Sim Pedals Ultimate+ load cell arrays provide true linear input measurement of throttle and clutch position, and in turn, braking force. Their accuracy and durability are unmatched as they do not wear out over time. Heusinkveld's proprietary electronics provide a full-range 12-bit output for each pedal. Custom output curves can be freely configured and stored in profiles using the Heusinkveld SmartControl software.

Components

Accelerator

Smooth, precise, and highly adjustable. The accelerator pedal gives you excellent control with exactly the travel, spring preload, and resistance you prefer.

The accelerator pedal features a one-way hydraulic damper that resists speed during the entry stroke. This helps smooth out throttle application and is also used in many real-life cars for this purpose. The amount of damping can be adjusted.

A load cell provides true linear input measurement of the pedal position. Custom nonlinear output curves can be freely configured using the Heusinkveld SmartControl software.

Brake

The brake features a realistic dual-stage braking system with a 200 kg load cell, capable of handling realistic pedal forces of up to 140 kg (measured at the pedal toe plate). The spring simulates the initial distance between the pad and the disc. The main brake springs are all new, custom-molded thermoset elastomers from Heusinkveld.

These patented elastomers are soft, responsive, and provide unprecedented progressive brake resistance (convex force curve) just like a real race car. On the entry and exit stroke, they have firm shock and rebound characteristics.

Automated testing shows that these elastomers show no performance degradation even after a million service cycles. You can choose from a total of nine resistance settings, allowing you to adjust the pedal from very soft to extremely stiff.

The brake features a bidirectional hydraulic damper. This damping resists the velocity during the entry and exit strokes, just as experienced in real brake assemblies. The amount of damping is adjustable.

Clutch

A clutch feels lighter toward the end of its travel. The Sim Pedals Ultimate+ clutch's return spring mechanism simulates this concave force curve and also allows you to extensively adjust resistance, travel, and pedal feel.

The clutch features a bidirectional hydraulic damper. This damping resists speed during the entry and exit strokes, just as seen in real clutch assemblies. The amount of damping is adjustable.

Electronics

The Heusinkveld Sim Pedals Ultimate+ uses a custom 12-bit USB controller, which runs on Heusinkveld SmartControl software. After calibration, each pedal outputs the full 12-bit range, providing instant and accurate output to your simulation software of choice.

The controller housing is made of steel and features four mounting holes for easy installation in your simulator. It can also be mounted on the bottom of the optional Sim Pedals Ultimate+ platform.

The pedals have passed comprehensive electromagnetic compatibility testing, ensuring a stable output signal regardless of the other electronic components used in your simulator (you won't suffer from the famous "emis").

SmartControl

The Sim Pedals Ultimate+ comes with a powerful configuration tool that lets you configure your pedals in ways previously unavailable: SmartControl. Working in conjunction with the new electronics, SmartControl allows for instant mapping of pedal output curves (non-linear), pedal dead zones, and brake pedal force.

These adjustments can be made without having to recalibrate the pedals (including iRacing). All settings can be saved in profiles, which can be reloaded with just a few mouse clicks.

Curve mapping

A key feature of SmartControl is the ability to configure custom signal output maps per pedal. Traditionally, racing simulator pedal output has had a one-to-one sensitivity relative to pedal input. SmartControl allows you to map nonlinear output curves using five zones (six input parameters).

Each pedal has a curve type drop-down menu with predefined output curves. You can also select the custom curve option and manually set the desired pedal output percentage for each zone. You're completely free to create your own curves!

Dead zones and braking force adjustment

SmartControl offers quick and easy adjustment of pedal dead zones. The effect of changing these settings can be visually seen in real time. You can also set the braking force required to achieve 100% brake output in your simulator with just a few mouse clicks.

Profiles

An unlimited number of profiles are supported within SmartControl. Saving and loading a profile is done in just a few mouse clicks. Because profile data is saved relative to your calibration values, it's possible to exchange pedal profiles between Sim Pedals Ultimate+ owners.

Calibration Wizard

Your Sim Pedals Ultimate+ are pre-calibrated during assembly and can be used as a plug-and-play device. All SmartControl adjustments can be made without having to recalibrate the pedals.

In case you need to recalibrate (for example, after making certain mechanical adjustments to the pedals), SmartControl has an easy-to-follow calibration wizard.

For the Sim Pedals Ultimate+ we also offer an optional mounting plate: the Sim Pedals Ultimate+ Baseplate.

Please note that these pedals cannot be installed on the floor without an additional support, or in a cockpit where there is no solid connection between the pedals and the seat. A full setup is always required for the Sim Pedals Ultimate+ , even if you use the optional Sim Pedals Ultimate+ Platform.

The Sim Pedals Ultimate+ can be used in the following driving simulation environments:

For training professional pilots.
For home use (e.g. in eSports simulators, by racing simulator enthusiasts).
In commercial applications (e.g. in rental simulators).

This product is compatible with PCs running Windows 10 or later. It is not compatible with Linux or consoles like Xbox or Playstation.

The pedals are pre-calibrated (plug-and-play). If you want to use SmartControl to recalibrate or adjust certain pedal settings, you'll need to be using Windows 10 or later.

The Sim Pedals Sprint are CE certified, including passing EMC compliance tests.
