What is the difference between the X Motion Kit and the X Motion System?

The X Motion Kit is the 3DOF motion system on its own, with four electric actuators with 120 mm of travel, to install under an X Cage or an aluminium profile rig you already own. The X Motion System includes the X Cage chassis and the X Motion Kit in a single order, and costs less than buying them separately.

Which movements does the X Motion Kit reproduce?

It is a 3DOF system: it reproduces pitch, roll and heave, that is, weight transfer, body roll and changes in elevation. It is the same motion that Novus fits to its complete Misha Spec, Full Motion RS and Full Motion S simulators.

Can I mount peripherals from any brand on the Novus X Cage?

Yes. The X Cage is compatible with all brands and designed for Direct Drive wheelbases of more than 25 Nm. Peripherals (wheelbase, pedals, seat and screens) are not included, so you choose them. If in doubt, we will help you configure the whole setup.

Which accessories are available for the X Cage?

At Simufy you will find the Single Monitor Mount, which attaches to the wheelbase mounting points, the Handbrake Mount to fit the handbrake on the left or right, and the Branding Panels, custom front panels with your name, logo or sponsors.

Novus at Simufy: X Cage chassis and 3DOF motion systems

Novus builds its sim racing range around the X Cage, an aerospace-grade aluminium chassis-cockpit made by ŽustAl in Žiri (Slovenia) using CNC bending and laser welding. It is modular, compatible with all brands and designed for Direct Drive wheelbases of more than 25 Nm without flex. You will find it alongside the other cockpits in our store.

To add real motion, the X Motion Kit is a 3DOF system (pitch, roll and heave) with four electric actuators with 120 mm of travel that installs under your X Cage or an aluminium profile rig. It is the same motion Novus fits to its complete simulators. If you are starting from scratch, the X Motion System combines chassis and kit in a single order. You can compare it with other motion systems.

To complete the X Cage there are dedicated accessories: the Single Monitor Mount, which attaches to the wheelbase mounting points, the Handbrake Mount for a left- or right-side handbrake, and the Branding Panels, custom front panels for drivers, teams and corporate simulators.
