This elastomer kit allows you to upgrade your Sim Pedals Sprint brake pedal to our latest injection molded thermoset elastomers.

Overview

Brake pedal feel is critical to your simulator experience. Continued development has resulted in these new thermoset brake rubbers, which were first introduced in our Sim Pedals Ultimate+. You now have the option to replace the previous specification brake rubbers on your Sim Pedals Sprint with these new thermoset elastomers.

Please note that these new elastomers may already be installed in your Sim Pedals Sprint. This is likely the case if you purchased your Sim Pedals Sprint after January 2022.

If your rubbers/elastomers have markings on the top indicating length and strength ("soft" or "hard"), you already have the new specification installed. If there are no markings, you have the previous specification that can be upgraded.

Advantages

The main advantages of using these new elastomers compared to previous specification rubbers are as follows:

  • A much more progressive braking feel. When you initially apply force to the brake, there will be more travel. Then, the brake pedal feel will gradually but noticeably harden.
  • Firmer rebound and impact characteristics. Especially during rebound (for example, when you decrease the force you apply on the brake), a smaller decrease in braking force is required for the pedal to begin moving back to its initial position.
  • Greater durability. Extensive testing has shown that these new elastomers have a near-zero failure rate and show no performance degradation even after 1 million cycles.

We'd like to emphasize that this is an optional upgrade. Previous specification brake pads will also serve you well for many years, albeit with slightly different performance characteristics.

What is included?

The Sim Pedals Sprint elastomer kit contains the following components:

  • 1x 19mm hard elastomer.
  • 1x 19mm soft elastomer.
  • 1x 28mm soft elastomer.
  • 1x 37mm soft elastomer.

The length and hardness of the elastomer (soft/hard) are printed on the side of the elastomers.

All other components of the brake pad stack (such as the black rotors and spacers) must be reused from your original Sim Pedals Sprint brakes.

The diagram below shows all possible configurations. The hardest configuration is at the top, and the softest is at the bottom.

With this kit, you can adjust a total of six force curves. All possible curves can be seen in the graph below. The hardest setting is on the left, and the softest is on the right.

Compatibility

This elastomer kit is compatible with all versions of the Sim Pedals Sprint and the Sim Pedals Sprint - Team Redline Edition.

Before purchasing the elastomer kit, please check if you already have the new elastomers. If your rubbers/elastomers have markings on the side indicating length and strength ("soft" or "hard"), you already have the new specification installed. If there are no markings, you have the previous specification rubbers.

The elastomer kit is not compatible with the following products:

  • Sim Pedals Ultimate (non-plus version): The inner diameter of these elastomers does not match the diameter of the brake rod on the classic Sim Pedals Ultimate. This kit also does not include the required black discs and spacers; damage to the elastomer will occur if the original metal discs are used. If you're looking to upgrade your classic Sim Pedals Ultimate, please refer to the Sim Pedals Ultimate Upgrade Kit.
  • Sim Pedals Pro: This kit is not designed to be compatible with Sim Pedals Pro. The hardware required to install the elastomer kit is supplied with Sim Pedals Sprint only.

Simufy is based in the EU (Barcelona, ​​Spain), and our website displays prices with or without our local VAT rate of 21%, depending on your country (based on your IP address).

The shipping cut-off time is 11:00 a.m. GMT+1 Monday through Friday. We aim to ship all orders placed before 11:00 a.m. GMT+1 the same day, but during busy periods this may not always be possible.

The approximate shipping times are detailed below. The shipping times described below are calculated from the day you are notified by Simufy that the package has left the warehouse:

  • Important note : Delivery is within 24 hours within a 500 km radius (from Barcelona) and within 48 hours outside this radius. If the package is irregular*, an additional 24 hours will be added to the delivery time.

Spain (Canary Islands/Ceuta/Melilla):

  • UPS: 5-7 business days after departure
  • Important note : The customs clearance process is beyond our control and, depending on the availability of public officials/AEAT, may take 1 to 7 business days.

*Irregular packages (anything over 30kg, with one side measuring more than 100cm, and/or multiple packages) may take an additional 24 hours to pass through different conveyors or require manual handling.

During periods of high demand or exceptional circumstances, shipping times may vary significantly and/or there may be unintended delays beyond our control.

1. Returns, exchanges and exercising the right of withdrawal

Users will have a period of fourteen (14) calendar days to make changes or returns from receipt of the product, in accordance with the provisions of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007, of November 16, which approves the revised text of the General Law for the Defense of Consumers and Users and other complementary laws.

To comply with the Withdrawal Period, you must notify us of your exercise of this right before the expiration of said period. After this period, withdrawals from product purchases will no longer be accepted.

The Products must be sent properly packaged immediately after, or in any case, within fourteen (14) days from the date on which you informed us of your withdrawal from the contract. The deadline will be deemed to have been met when the Products are sent before the expiration of the aforementioned period.

To exercise your right of withdrawal you must notify us at (SIMUFY, Ctra. BV-2131 km. 7.2, 08787 Orpí, Barcelona, ​​Spain) by sending a clear statement (such as a letter by
postal mail, fax, or email) stating your decision to withdraw from the contract. You may use the withdrawal form attached as Annex 1 to these Terms and Conditions, although its use is not mandatory. You may also withdraw from the purchase contract electronically by completing an explicit withdrawal statement using the following form . If you use this option, we will confirm receipt of your withdrawal from the order by email.

Additionally, the User must be responsible for managing the shipment of the merchandise to the following address (SIMUFY, Ctra. BV-2131 km. 7.2, 08787 Orpí, Barcelona, ​​Spain), and the User must pay the return shipping costs in accordance with the provisions of article 108.1 of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007, of November 16, which approves the revised text of the General Law for the Defense of Consumers and Users and other complementary laws.

The following are excluded from the right of withdrawal:

  1. The supply of goods or services tailored to the Client's specifications or clearly personalized.
  2. The supply of goods that are not suitable for return due to health or hygiene reasons and that have been unsealed after delivery. For example, underwear and socks.
  3. The supply of goods which, after delivery, are susceptible to damage and, taking into account their nature, have been inseparably mixed with other goods, such as fibre, aluminium and/or steel products (such as seats, cockpits, trays, platforms, monitor stands, cockpit accessories, etc.);
  4. Supply of goods acquired through public auction:
  5. Goods that are not in their original packaging;
  6. Goods that have been used or installed with excessive wear and/or that have signs of use other than those inherent to their test;
  7. Products that were purchased in Refurbished condition;

The damage caused to the
Any damages to products resulting from use other than that inherent to the testing of the marketed product shall be the User's responsibility in accordance with Article 108.2 of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007, of November 16, which approves the revised text of the General Law for the Defense of Consumers and Users and other complementary laws. Therefore, Simufy reserves the right to quantify the damages suffered due to these circumstances and reduce or deny reimbursement to the User by this amount.

If the User, when purchasing the goods, expressly selected a specific delivery method that was more expensive than the standard delivery method, SIMUFY is not obligated to reimburse the additional costs incurred by using this specific delivery method.

Consumers are hereby informed that Simufy does not exchange or exchange products. Therefore, the quickest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have and, once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase of the new item.

If you cancel an order before shipping, a gift voucher will be issued for the amount paid, less a 3% payment gateway fee and administrative costs. This voucher can be used for future purchases in our store and is valid for 12 months. You can cancel your order electronically using the following form .

2. Consequences of withdrawal

In the event of withdrawal, we will refund the payment received from the User for the purchase of the Product subject to withdrawal without undue delay from the date on which SIMUFY has been able to verify that the Product meets the requirements to qualify for the right of withdrawal, and within a maximum period of 14 days. Therefore, the amount paid will not be refunded until Simufy has received the product subject to withdrawal.

Partial returns of an order will result in a refund of the proportional amount paid by the User for said order.

3. Returns for manufacturing defects and warranty

SIMUFY undertakes to repair or replace any Products that present defects in accordance with the provisions of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007, of November 16, which approves the revised text of the General Law for the Defense of Consumers and Users and other complementary laws. For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, a lack of conformity is understood to be the lack of compliance with the specifications provided for the product at the time of purchase by the User and/or the lack of suitability of the product for its intended purpose. Normal wear and tear due to use of the product is not considered a lack of conformity (for example: wear on Alcantara material rings).

No refunds and/or repairs under warranty will be made for those Products that:

  • were obtained from a source other than the Platform;
  • have suffered damage resulting from negligent or intentional conduct (such as exposure to chemicals, caustic substances, open fire, high temperatures, sharp objects, etc.); and/or
  • have been damaged by careless use;
  • damage due to normal wear and tear or that has exceeded its economic useful life.

In any case, SIMUFY is
is responsible for collecting the Products at the address indicated by the User and for the costs incurred in transporting them to the warehouse.

Regarding orders placed prior to January 1, 2022, the aforementioned period will be TWO (2) YEARS.

The aforementioned periods may be extended if the product manufacturer offers a more comprehensive warranty.

In any case, the Client must contact or request the collection of the Product from SIMUFY within a maximum period of TWO (2) months from the verification of the defect, and must inform of the nature of the problem, the time and conditions of its appearance.

If it is not possible to restore compliance through repair or replacement, SIMUFY will inform the User of this circumstance and refund the price paid.

The cause of the lack of conformity will be presumed to have existed at the time of delivery for two (2) years following delivery. After these two (two) years, it will be up to the User to prove that this lack of conformity is due to a cause attributable to SIMUFY or its manufacturers and/or suppliers.

After TWO (2) years from the invoice date, the equipment for repair must be sent with postage paid by the User.

SIMUFY may undertake the repair or management of products that are not covered by the warranty in accordance with the provisions of this provision, provided that the User is responsible for paying all costs, including shipping costs.

SIMUFY reserves the right to verify whether the defect is due to a manufacturing error or use by the User contrary to the Product's user instructions. SIMUFY also reserves the right to request an authorized SIMUFY technical service center to verify the origin of the problem.

Repairs and replacements will be carried out within a reasonable period of time after the Product has been collected and assessed. However, depending on the availability of replacement products, as well as the costs and time required to complete the repairs, these times may vary.
