What is the Simucube ActivePedal Sport?
The Simucube ActivePedal Sport is an active pedal. Unlike a conventional pedal, it uses a motor to generate resistance and deliver information about what the car is doing directly to the driver.
The key difference from a conventional passive pedal is the absence of springs, elastomers and hydraulic systems. With fewer wear-prone components, the pedal feel remains consistent over time. You can also configure it through software and create almost unlimited profiles for different cars, racing categories or personal preferences.
The Simucube ActivePedal Sport is part of the Simucube ActivePedal range. It sits alongside the ActivePedal Pro and the ActivePedal Ultimate.
Designed from the ground up, the Sport draws on the technology and experience behind the Pro and Ultimate. Its own architecture is engineered to reduce size and cost while preserving the principles and feel of the ActivePedal family.
Simucube ActivePedal Sport specifications
These are the specifications announced for the new model:
One of the most striking physical differences is its length. The ActivePedal Sport measures 250 mm in length, while the ActivePedal Pro reaches 418 mm. That considerable reduction makes a real difference when space on your cockpit's pedal deck is limited.
ActivePedal Sport vs Pro vs Ultimate
Three models aimed at three different types of driver. Each has a distinct purpose and addresses different needs. The Simucube ActivePedal Sport makes active-pedal technology more accessible, while the Pro and Ultimate remain the higher-end options for more demanding drivers and setups.
Telemetry: feel ABS and vehicle effects through the pedal
This is one of the easiest ways to understand the difference between a true active pedal and the haptic feedback that can be added to a passive pedal set.
Passive pedal + vibration
Haptic feedback
A passive pedal can use add-on motors or vibration devices to signal events such as ABS activation, engine vibration or traction control intervention.
Active pedal
Motor-generated resistance
ActivePedal works differently. Its internal motor generates both pedal resistance and effects, changing the feel entirely. Instead of feeling an external vibration, you feel the motor change the pedal's resistance, response and behaviour according to what is happening in the car.
Every parameter can also be adjusted in detail with the dedicated Simucube Tuner The final advantage is that the same ActivePedal Sport can act as a brake, throttle or clutch, with the appropriate profiles and effects for each role. The level of customisation is up to you.
What do you need to install an ActivePedal Sport?
The ActivePedal Sport belongs to the Simucube Link ecosystem, which means it requires a Link Hub to work. One Link Hub per simulator is enough, however, so you do not need a second one if you already own one. From there, several pedal-set configurations are possible.
- Pair the Sport with the Simucube Co-Pedal for a hybrid setup, using one or two Co-Pedals depending on whether you want a clutch.
- Full active setup: three Simucube ActivePedal Sport units.
- Combine the Sport with passive pedals, whether an existing pedal in your rig or a compatible solution from another brand.

Steps to check installation compatibility:
Make sure you have a Simucube Link Hub.
Use the four M5 mounting points to secure the pedal.
Use the included 280 W power supply. ActivePedal Sport units cannot share power through daisy-chaining: each unit needs its own power connection.
Check pedal height, spacing and compatibility with a pedal baseplate

Simucube ActivePedal Sport FAQs
What is an active pedal, and how is it better than a passive pedal?
An active pedal uses an integrated motor to generate resistance and transmit driving information through the pedal. Dedicated software controls the settings. Its main advantages are customisation, feedback and immersion.
Is the ActivePedal Sport just a cut-down ActivePedal Pro?
No. Simucube designed the Sport from scratch, drawing on the technology and expertise gained with the Pro and Ultimate but using its own architecture to reduce size and cost.
How much does it cost, and when can I buy it?
The recommended price is €1,089.99 including VAT , and general availability is expected in early 2027.
Can I pre-order it now?
No. Simucube has said there will be no pre-orders for the ActivePedal Sport before launch. You can sign up for Simufy's availability alerts for updates.
Do I need a Link Hub to use it?
Yes. The ActivePedal Sport requires a Simucube Link Hub, but you only need one per simulator. If you already use a compatible Simucube Link device, you can share the same hub.
Can it be used as a throttle or clutch?
Yes, it can act as either a throttle or clutch. Each active pedal has its own power supply and must be connected to power independently.
What is the difference between Sport, Pro and Ultimate? Can they be combined?
They mainly differ in force, travel, dimensions and target user. Yes, Simucube ActivePedal models can be combined through the Link Hub.
Is it worth upgrading from high-end passive pedals or a vibration kit?
Each solution has a different purpose and target driver. Vibration kits add another layer of feedback to passive pedals, while premium passive pedals use technologies such as elastomers or hydraulics to create a more fixed pedal feel, often at a different price point from active pedals.
