The Sabelt Shifter & Handbrake Plate is the 10 mm CNC aluminium plate, pre-drilled, for mounting the shifter and handbrake on the side mount of a Sabelt cockpit.

Its value is in the drilling. It comes machined with the patterns of the most common brands on the market, so the peripheral bolts straight on with no measuring or drilling. It takes both at once on the same surface. It requires the side mount bracket and is only compatible with the S and X series.

Can it be fitted without the side mount?

No. Sabelt states that the side mount bracket is required to install it. The plate provides the drilling and the surface; the bracket provides the arm that holds it to the cockpit.

Does it fit P Series cockpits?

No. Sabelt lists it as compatible only with the S and X series, the same restriction as the side mount reinforcement.

Do I also need the reinforcement?

It is advisable. Sabelt recommends the side mount reinforcement precisely for sequential or H-pattern shifter and handbrake installations, which are the peripherals that go on this plate.

Is drilling required?

No. The plate comes pre-drilled with the patterns of the compatible brands, so the peripheral bolts straight on.

How does it differ from the shifter plate on its own?

This one takes both peripherals at once: the shifter and the handbrake on the same surface. The shifter plate is intended for the shifter only.
