iRACING WATKINS GLEN 6H: iRACING SPECIAL EVENT 2024

The 6 Hours of iRacing at Watkins Glen International Circuit, presented by VCO, is back. This will be the next special iRacing 2024 event, held virtually in upstate New York and will feature team racing.

This weekend, June 14-16, there will be five opportunities to participate in the race. There will be a choice of different cars and three classes, including GTP, GTD and the LMP2 class with the Dallara P217.

What is the iRacing Watkins Glen 6 Hour presented by VCO?

The iRacing Watkins Glen 6 Hour is part of the official iRacing calendar and is held at one of the most iconic circuits in North America. This event is known for being a 6-hour endurance race, organized in collaboration with Virtual Competition Organisation (VCO), which is involved in several major current simulation racing events.

The competition presents a great challenge for the participants, as it involves team strategies, which makes it attractive for both experienced simracers and simracing amateurs.

For the Acura ARX-06 GTP, there is a maximum allowable deflection of the front spring, making it impossible to coil bind this spring on track. The maximum allowable deflection is 25 mm (0.5 mm - 25 mm). This update matches the Cadillac and BMW configuration limits.

When are the qualifying sessions?

As already announced on the iRacing forum, the qualifying will be individual before the start of the race. So each driver will have 8 minutes to finish 2 laps to set the qualifying time for the race.
