The Esportsim Universal Fanatec Hub V2 is the adapter that joins GTW wheels to a Fanatec wheelbase and carries the preconfigured electronics needed to use them on PS4, PS5, Xbox and PC.

It replaces the standard 6x70 mm PCD adapter, which only works on PC. Its high-strength aluminium body gives a solid connection between wheel and base, with no play or flex while driving, and it arrives ready to use, with no external adapters and no complex setup.

What exactly does this hub do?

Two things at once: it is the mechanical part that fixes the GTW wheel to a Fanatec base, and it is the electronics that let that wheel work on console. Without it, the standard 6x70 mm PCD adapter is PC only.

Which Fanatec bases does it work with?

The official Esportsim manual lists the Podium Direct Drive DD1 and DD2, CSL DD, Podium Racing Wheel F1 PS4, CSL Elite V1.1, CSL Elite officially licensed for PS4, ClubSport Wheel Base V2 and ClubSport Wheel Base V2.5 for console use. If your base is not on that list, get in touch before ordering and we will check it with you.

Is any setup needed after fitting it?

Yes. The wheel has a controller chip whose mode must match the hub fitted: using the Esportsim Wheel Manager software you flash the Fanatec firmware and select Fanatec mode along with the platform, PS or Xbox.

Does it work with Thrustmaster bases?

No. Thrustmaster bases use a different hub, the aluminium Thrustmaster Hub, with its own electronics and its own firmware mode.

Does it fit all three GTW wheels?

Yes. The hub is common to the GTW Neat, GTW Illumina and GTW Ultra, which share the same mounting system and the same internal electronics.
