The Thrustmaster T598 Servo Base is a 5 Nm direct drive wheelbase built around a Direct Axial Drive axial flux motor, compatible with PS5, PS4 and PC, aimed at drivers who want cogging-free Force Feedback with 5 ms latency.

It is Thrustmaster's first base with an axial flux motor, developed together with ECM PCB Stator Tech. With cogging removed, wheel rotation is clean and effects come through sharper; the 5 Nm of constant torque supports +100% overshoot on peaks. It is sold as a base only: wheel rim, pedals and add-ons are purchased separately.

What does the +100% overshoot on the 5 Nm mean?

It means that on top of the 5 Nm of constant torque, the base can momentarily double the force on peaks, so impacts, kerbs and loss of grip feel far more pronounced.

Can the T598 be mounted on a desk?

Yes. The base has 4 fixing points underneath to bolt it to a cockpit, and it accepts the Desk Mounting Kit to clamp it to a table. The kit is sold separately.
