The Conspit Ares 20 Platinum is a competition-grade 20 Nm Direct Drive wheelbase for PC sim racing, with a 23-bit optical encoder, a skew-pole motor and a military-grade slip ring, available in CDR and CDP Quick Release versions.

Developed from the ground up by motorsport engineers and top-level drivers, the Ares 20 Platinum is Conspit's flagship base. Its skew-pole motor keeps cogging below 2.3% and its dual-processor electronics deliver continuous, latency-free Force Feedback, ideal for long stints and endurance racing.

Key features of the Conspit Ares 20 Platinum

  • 20 Nm of real torque with ultra-detailed, continuous Force Feedback and no perceptible cogging.
  • Skew-pole motor exclusive to sim racing, not an adapted industrial servo.
  • 23-bit optical encoder (<0.01°) for maximum precision and consistency.
  • Torque response of up to 9.5 Nm/ms to capture every micro-detail of the road surface.
  • Asymmetric dual processor (170 + 168 MHz) for stable, latency-free calculations.
  • Military-grade slip ring for a clean, interference-free signal.
  • Aerospace-grade aluminium chassis with premium anodising and real-time thermal monitoring.
  • Conspit Link 2.0 with official presets and an FFB algorithm developed with Open FFBoard.

Which version should you choose?

Choose the CDR version for maximum standard compatibility with wheels on the market; choose the CDP for a Formula-style 7075 aluminium mount, play-free and ready for high torque loads. All other performance (20 Nm, 23-bit encoder, dual processor) is identical.

Compatibility

  • Platform: PC (Windows) via USB 3.0. Not compatible with PlayStation or Xbox.
  • Software: Conspit Link 2.0 (FFB tuning, curves and presets).
  • Quick Release: CDR or CDP depending on version; compatible with Conspit wheels and standard adapters.
  • Mounting: M6 (bottom) / M8 (sides), suitable for high-end aluminium-profile cockpits.

Frequently asked questions

How much force does the Conspit Ares 20 Platinum deliver?

20 Nm of peak torque, with a response of up to 9.5 Nm/ms to capture every micro-detail of the road surface.

Is it compatible with consoles?

No. It works on PC (Windows) only via USB; it is not compatible with PlayStation or Xbox.

What is the difference between the CDR and CDP versions?

The Quick Release system: the CDR uses a widely adopted industry standard, while the CDP is a Formula-style ball-and-clip mechanism machined from 7075 CNC aluminium, play-free and competition-grade.

How does it differ from the Ares 12?

It delivers 20 Nm instead of 12, adds a military-grade slip ring for interference-free signal transmission, an asymmetric dual processor (170 MHz + 168 MHz) and reinforced construction; it shares the skew-pole motor and the 23-bit optical encoder.

Which encoder and processing does it use?

A 23-bit optical encoder with sub-0.01° angular resolution and an asymmetric dual processor of 170 MHz + 168 MHz for stable, latency-free calculations.

Does it need software to work?

It is managed with Conspit Link 2.0, with official presets from drivers and engineers; its Force Feedback algorithm was developed in collaboration with Open FFBoard.
