The MOZA R21 Ultra is a 21 Nm sustained-torque direct drive wheelbase for sim racing on PC, part of MOZA's flagship line-up, aimed at advanced and semi-professional drivers who want constant torque and fine control in endurance and competitive racing.

It packs a zero-cogging flat-wire motor with a 21-bit magnetic encoder (2,097,152 pulses per revolution) and intelligent thermal management with real-time monitoring, keeping the full 21 Nm with no throttling even in long sessions. Its die-cast aluminium unibody housing delivers torsional rigidity, and the slip ring is rated for over 10 million rotations with 2 M/s data transfer.

Compatibility

The MOZA R21 Ultra is compatible with PC only. It is not compatible with consoles: unlike the R25 Ultra, the R21 Ultra has no Xbox route. It is part of the MOZA ecosystem and works with the brand's sim racing wheels, pedals, shifters, handbrake and dashboards through the MOZA Quick Release and its dedicated ports.

Frequently asked questions

Does the MOZA R21 Ultra work on console?

No. The R21 Ultra is PC-only and has no console compatibility route. If you need Xbox within the Ultra range, the option is the R25 Ultra paired with an Xbox-licensed MOZA wheel.

Is the 21 Nm peak or sustained?

It is 21 Nm of sustained torque, not a brief peak. The base maintains full force with no throttling even in long endurance sessions, thanks to its intelligent thermal management.

Who is it for?

For advanced and semi-professional drivers. 21 Nm sits in the upper range of direct drive: plenty of headroom for GT, formula, rally or endurance without reaching the extremes of the most powerful bases.

What does the zero-cogging flat-wire motor add?

A smoother, more natural continuous force, especially at low torque where you read load through your hands. It reduces cogging to almost imperceptible levels for a feel close to a real steering column.

What's in the box?

The R21 Ultra base, the power supply, the data cable, the bolt kit, the manual and the warranty card. The wheel and pedals are sold separately.

How are the RGB and force feedback configured?

From MOZA Pit House on PC and the MOZA App on iOS/Android: customisation of the two RGB strips, advanced FFB settings, per-game profiles and online firmware updates.
