The Fanatec CSL DD QR2 is a 5 Nm direct drive wheelbase (upgradeable to 8 Nm with the Boost Kit 180) for sim racing, compatible with PC and Xbox, the entry point into direct drive in a compact, accessible format.

The CSL DD uses a direct drive servo motor engineered in Germany, with a composite carbon-fibre shaft and patented FluxBarrier technology for an efficient, smooth motor. It is part of the Fanatec ecosystem and uses the same contactless Hall sensor as the Podium series.

Key features of the Fanatec CSL DD QR2

  • 5 Nm of torque as standard, upgradeable to 8 Nm with the optional Boost Kit 180.
  • Direct drive motor with no belts or gears: force goes straight from the motor to the wheel.
  • Composite carbon-fibre shaft for very fast acceleration and response.
  • Patented FluxBarrier technology for improved motor efficiency and smoothness.
  • Preinstalled QR2 Lite Base-Side quick release, with no torque loss.
  • Rotation up to 2520°, electronically adjustable, with a contactless Hall sensor.
  • CNC-machined aluminium housing with passive, silent cooling.
