The Dayton Audio BST-300EX is Dayton's most powerful bass shaker (tactile transducer), with 300 W RMS at 4 ohms and a 10-200 Hz response for sim racing, gaming, home cinema and car audio, turning your seat or platform into pure bass vibration.

It's the big brother of the BST-1: same principle — it converts frequencies too low to hear into physical vibration — but with far greater power and excursion. Inside, a magnetic core suspended between two tough nylon spiders and wrapped in a high-power voice coil generates extreme, silent tactile impact with no audible sound. Its high-grade aluminium housing withstands continuous high-power operation without distortion.

Compatibility

The BST-300EX needs a powerful bass shaker amplifier that supports 4 ohms and can deliver up to 300 W RMS per unit; never exceed that figure per shaker. You can wire up to two in series (8 ohms) or in parallel (2 ohms), or four in series-parallel keeping 4 ohms; use 12-14 AWG speaker cable. In sim racing it's driven from PC with SimHub or other telemetry software, and it performs just as well in home cinema, gaming and car audio. Apply a low-pass filter at 80 Hz or below to remove unwanted high frequencies. You can add the dedicated BST-300EX mounting kit.

Yes, and it's the most powerful option. Mounted under the seat or on a platform, the BST-300EX reproduces the engine, impacts and track bumps with more force than a conventional bass shaker. It's driven from PC with SimHub to sync the effects with your telemetry.

What's the difference between the BST-300EX and the BST-1?

The BST-1 delivers 50 W RMS and the BST-300EX 300 W RMS, with greater excursion and response up to 200 Hz. The BST-300EX is meant for very demanding setups, large platforms or anyone after maximum bass impact.

What amplifier does the BST-300EX need?

A powerful 4-ohm amplifier able to deliver up to 300 W RMS per unit. Never exceed 300 W RMS per shaker and check in your amplifier's manual that it supports the final impedance of your setup.

How many BST-300EXs can I connect together?

Up to four in series-parallel keeping 4 ohms. Two in series give 8 ohms and two in parallel 2 ohms. Use 12-14 AWG speaker cable and don't exceed 300 W RMS per unit.
