The BDH Active Shifter is an H-pattern gear shifter with active servo-driven force feedback for sim racing, compatible with PC via SimHub, designed for drivers who want to feel the drivetrain —vibration, gear grinding and torque retention— with every shift.

CNC-machined from aerospace-grade billet aluminium and built on the mechanical foundation of the BDH H1 "Bazooka", it doesn't play back pre-programmed effects: its high-torque servo motor generates resistance in real time from SimHub telemetry. Designed and built in York, England, it is a purely H-pattern shifter (not dual-mode or sequential) for solid mounting on aluminium profile cockpits.

No. It is a purely H-pattern shifter; there is no sequential mode and no upgrade path from other BDH models, as it uses a completely new internal mechanism and control system.

What software do I need for the force feedback?

It requires SimHub, from which it reads real-time telemetry. Once connected it works as a plug-and-play device, with automatic configuration in supported games, and no plugins or third-party software.

Does it work with PlayStation or Xbox?

No. The Active Shifter is PC (Windows) only and is not compatible with consoles.

What effects does the active system simulate?

It includes clutch lock-out, gear grinding and torque retention: it dynamically adjusts resistance and recreates drivetrain behaviour from SimHub telemetry.

How is it mounted on the cockpit?
