The PXN VD4 Bundle is an entry-level sim racing package built around a 4 Nm constant torque (5 Nm peak) direct drive wheelbase, a 280 mm wheel and a metal two-pedal set with Hall effect sensors, compatible with PC and aimed at drivers moving up from a gear-driven wheel.

The VD4 base uses a 20-pole low-inertia direct drive servo motor, a 24-bit magnetic encoder, a multi-core processor and the PXN Sense+ algorithm to shape the force feedback response. Its aluminium chassis includes intelligent thermal control, so torque stays consistent through long stints. It is PXN's most affordable way into direct drive and a sensible base to grow into a full racing simulator.

Compatibility

Platform: PC running Windows. It is not compatible with PlayStation or Xbox.
Games: PC sim racing titles such as iRacing, Assetto Corsa, the F1 series or Euro Truck Simulator 2.
Software: PXN SimRacing, for base torque, button mapping, LED lighting and pedal response curves.
Mounting: on a desk with the clamp supplied, or bolted to a cockpit using the mounting points on the base.

Does the PXN VD4 Bundle work on PS5 or Xbox?

No. PXN only states compatibility with PC running Windows and explicitly rules out Xbox, so the package does not work on PlayStation either.

What is the difference between the PXN VD4 and the PXN VD6?

The architecture is the same (20-pole servo motor, 24-bit encoder, Sense+ and aluminium chassis); torque is what changes: 4 Nm constant and 5 Nm peak on the VD4 against 6 Nm and 7 Nm on the VD6.

What does the PXN VD4 package include?

The VD4 direct drive base, the 280 mm W AS wheel, the PD HM two-pedal set, a table clamp and the cabling and mounting accessories. No clutch pedal is included.

Are the PXN VD4 pedals made of metal?

Yes. The PD HM pedal set has a metal structure and uses Hall effect sensors, with no physical contact in the sensor. Height and angle can also be adjusted on each pedal.

Can the PXN VD4 wheel be swapped for another one?

Yes. The base uses PXN's own Quick Release, the same system as the VD6, so it takes PXN wheels prepared for that mounting.

Can the PXN VD4 be mounted on a cockpit?

Yes. Beyond the table clamp supplied, the base has mounting points to bolt it to a cockpit or a rigid stand.
