The Sabelt P99 EVO I is a formula sim racing cockpit built from 160×40 mm aluminium profiles with a reclined single-seater driving position, compatible with Direct Drive wheelbases and professional pedal sets, aimed at drivers competing in open-wheel categories.
It is the flagship chassis of Sabelt's P Series and is designed to work with the SRP-1 bucket seat. The structure combines a 160×40 mm base with 120×40 mm uprights, using proprietary profile sections anodised with Zero-X technology and finished in sandblasted soft-touch Matt Black Moon — a combination that eliminates flex under heavy braking and high torque. Sabelt manufactures the P99 EVO I entirely in Italy and supplies it with a two-year warranty.

Which configuration should you choose?
The P99 EVO I is ordered as a base structure and completed with two optional systems. The base deck system determines how you mount the wheelbase: the flat multi-wheel deck (10 mm plate) takes belt and gear-driven bases as well as mid-size direct drive units; the DD front mount and Asetek front mount (15 mm plates) fix the base at the front and add independent tilt adjustment, the usual choice on a formula chassis; the Fanatec side mount holds the base at the sides. The pedal mount system offers the Standard Adjustable EVO I and the Ultra EVO I, the latter designed to raise the pedal set in line with the reclined single-seater posture.
Compatibility
The P99 EVO I is a passive structure with no electronics: it works with PC, PlayStation and Xbox, since the platform is determined by the wheelbase and pedals you fit to it. The seat and its brackets are bought separately and must be Sabelt P Series.
- Flat multi-wheel deck: MOZA R3, R5, R9, R12, R16 and R21; Fanatec CSW 2.5, CSL Elite, CSL DD, Gran Turismo DD Pro, DD1 and DD2; Thrustmaster T300, T818, T-GT, T-GT II, TS-XW, TS-PC and TX; Logitech G29, G920, G923 and Pro Racing Wheel.
- DD front mount: Simucube 2 Sport, Simucube 2 Pro, Simucube 2 Ultimate and VRS.
- Asetek front mount: Asetek SimSports La Prima, Forte and Invicta.
- Fanatec side mount: Fanatec CSL DD, Gran Turismo DD Pro, DD1 and DD2.
- All mounting systems are compatible with Sabelt S, P and X Series cockpits.
Frequently asked questions
How does the Sabelt P99 EVO I differ from the S99 EVO I and the X99 EVO I?
All three share 160×40 mm base profiles and 120×40 mm uprights. The P99 EVO I is the formula chassis: it places the driver in a reclined position with raised legs, as in a single-seater. The S99 EVO I offers an intermediate GT position and the X99 EVO I a raised road-style position thanks to 80×40 mm profiles beneath the seat.
Does the Sabelt P99 EVO I include a seat?
No. The P99 EVO I ships with the aluminium profiles and plates, end caps, rubber feet, red slot covers and all fixings. The SRP-1 racing seat and its brackets are bought separately.
Which Direct Drive wheelbases can be fitted to the Sabelt P99 EVO I?
It depends on the mounting system you choose. The DD front mount takes Simucube 2 Sport, Pro and Ultimate and VRS; the Asetek front mount takes La Prima, Forte and Invicta; the Fanatec side mount takes CSL DD, Gran Turismo DD Pro, DD1 and DD2; and the flat multi-wheel deck takes MOZA R3 to R21, Fanatec, Thrustmaster and Logitech.
How much does the Sabelt P99 EVO I weigh?
The P99 EVO I weighs 45 kg. It is delivered flat-packed with all the fixings and hardware needed, so plan for a second pair of hands during assembly and a firm, level surface.
Which pedal mount suits a formula cockpit?
The Ultra EVO I mount is the most common choice on the P99 EVO I because it allows the pedal set to be mounted in a raised position, matching the reclined single-seater posture. The Standard Adjustable EVO I mount works if you prefer a more conventional placement.
Is the Sabelt P99 EVO I compatible with PlayStation and Xbox?
Yes. The cockpit is an aluminium structure with no electronics, so compatibility with PC, PlayStation or Xbox depends entirely on the wheelbase and pedals you install on it.
