The GETAIL G1-70 is a 70 mm, 119 g steering wheel extender for sim racing, machined from a single block of 6061 aluminium and compatible with direct drive wheelbases using a 70 mm or Simucube bolt pattern, aimed at drivers who want to fine-tune their FOV without penalising force feedback.

Moving the wheel away from the base lets you drop the monitor by more than 10 cm and line up your eyes, the rim and the screen properly. The G1-70 does it with a staggered dual-helix design that bolts up from the front with a screwdriver, and at 119 g it adds almost no inertia to the wheelbase shaft.

The G1-70 is a mechanical accessory fitted between the wheelbase and the wheel, so it works the same on PC and on console depending on what your own base supports.

Native compatibility, no adapter: Simucube, VRS, VNM and any wheelbase with a 70 mm PCD or Simucube bolt pattern.
Compatible with conditions: Asetek (the wheel must be removed), Fanatec (Podium Hub only), Moza and Simagic with a 70 mm pattern.

Is the GETAIL G1-70 compatible with my direct drive wheelbase?

It bolts natively onto Simucube, VRS, VNM and any wheelbase with a 70 mm PCD or Simucube pattern. On Asetek the wheel has to be removed, on Fanatec it works with the Podium Hub, and Moza or Simagic require a 70 mm pattern. The G-Universal Adapter adds Cammus, Conspit, Simagic Evo, Simucube 2 and 3, Simlab, VNM and VRS.

Does a 119 g extender affect force feedback?

The G1-70 weighs 119 g, a very low figure for a 70 mm solid machined aluminium part. The inertia added to the shaft is minimal and does not noticeably change the detail or the response speed of a direct drive wheelbase.

How far can I lower my monitor with the G1-70?

By bringing the wheel 70 mm forward of the base, most cockpits allow the monitor to be dropped by more than 10 cm without the wheelbase blocking the bottom of the screen, which widens the usable field of view.

What is the difference between the G1-70 and the G1-123?

Length and weight: the G1-70 is 70 mm long and weighs 119 g, with 45.5 mm of usable inner space; the G1-123 is 123 mm and weighs 163 g, with 98.5 mm of inner space. Material, bolt patterns and finishes are identical.

Do I need special tools to install it?

No. The staggered dual-helix design gives front access to the bolts, so a screwdriver is enough and the wheelbase does not need to come out of the cockpit.
