The Fanatec Podium Pedals Formula is a 2-pedal sim racing set with a load cell brake rated above 200 kg, compatible with PC, PlayStation and Xbox via Fanatec wheelbases, designed for drivers of single-seaters, endurance cars and high-downforce machinery.

Developed by Fanatec in Germany with input from professional drivers and sim racers, it is built around two-footed driving, where precise braking and throttle control decide the lap time. It combines forged aluminium arms, carbon fibre pedal plates and heel cups, and a brake compression system that adjusts without tools. It is the two-pedal option within the Podium pedals range.

Key features of the Fanatec Podium Pedals Formula

Brake with a load cell rated above 200 kg, calibrated for 150 kg at the pedal plate, and a forged aluminium arm.
Patented Compression Control System: tool-free adjustment of brake travel and resistance that prevents over-compression. Fully closing the cups gives a “brick wall” feel with no travel.
Mechanical progression: stagger the cup positions and each spring reaches its limit at a different point in the stroke, taking the response from linear to a progressive ramp.
Diecast, CNC-machined aluminium throttle with a factory-calibrated Hall sensor and tool-free, independent preload and travel adjustment (approx. 20 mm).
Formula-style carbon fibre pedal plates and curved heel cups with side supports. Plate height and heel cup position are adjustable.
Output curves and dead zones configurable in the Fanatec App. They are saved to internal memory, so they also work on console.
Compact connection box with RJ12 and USB-C usable at the same time, industrial-grade ball bearings and haptic mounts for future expansion.

Compatibility

PC: compatible with Windows when connected via RJ12 to a supported Fanatec wheelbase, or as a standalone device via USB.
PlayStation: compatible with PS4 and PS5 when connected to a PlayStation-licensed Fanatec wheelbase.
Xbox: compatible with Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S when connected to a supported Fanatec wheelbase with an Xbox-licensed steering wheel.

Frequently asked questions

Does the Fanatec Podium Pedals Formula work on PS5 and Xbox?

Yes, as long as it is connected via RJ12 to a supported Fanatec wheelbase. On PS4 and PS5 the wheelbase must be PlayStation-licensed. On Xbox One and Series X|S you need a supported Fanatec wheelbase and an Xbox-licensed steering wheel.

Can I use the pedals without a Fanatec wheelbase?

Yes, on PC. They connect via USB-C as a standalone device in Windows. On console, however, they need a supported Fanatec wheelbase.

How do I adjust brake stiffness and feel?

With the Compression Control System you adjust travel and resistance without tools by screwing the cups in or out. Fully closed, they remove all travel; staggered, they create a stepped progression. Two blue and two green springs are also included for a softer feel.

Can a clutch pedal be added?

Yes. The Podium Pedals clutch module is fully compatible with the Podium Pedals Formula and is sold separately.

Do I need the Podium Pedals Mounting Plate to install it?

It is not required. The modules use standard mounting points and can be fitted to any solid metal plate or to aluminium profile with M6 T-nuts (not included). Do not mount them on wood or plastic. Note that the carbon heel cups cannot be used together with the steel heel rest of the Mounting Plate.

Do custom curves work on console?

Yes. Curves and dead zones created in the Fanatec App are saved to the pedals' internal memory, stay active on console and can be selected from the Tuning Menu.
