The LG UltraGear 45GX950A-B is a 45" (44.5" visible) curved OLED gaming monitor with 5K2K resolution (5120 × 2160) in 21:9 format, 800R curvature, 0.03ms (GtG) and Dual-Mode technology that switches between 165Hz at 5K2K and 330Hz at WFHD with a single click.

It is the first OLED gaming monitor with 5K2K resolution: 33% more pixels than 4K UHD and 34% more field of view than a 16:9, with 125 PPI and an RGWB subpixel structure for sharper text. The Micro Lens Array+ panel reaches 275 nits typical and up to 1,300 nits peak, a 1,500,000:1 contrast ratio and 98.5% DCI-P3 with ΔE ≤ 2. With one click (hotkey or the LG Switch app) the monitor switches between 5K2K at 165Hz, for graphically demanding games, and WFHD at 330Hz for pure competitive play. It also lets you choose between 8 size and aspect-ratio combinations, from 24" to 45" in 16:9 or 21:9. Reaching 330Hz requires a compatible GPU.

Is 5K2K worth it for sim racing?

The 5120 × 2160 pixels in 21:9 with 125 PPI deliver a level of distance detail (mirrors, telemetry text, braking references) that 3440 × 1440 cannot match, and the 800R curvature covers peripheral vision without the bezels of a triple-monitor setup. In exchange, it demands considerably more GPU to drive its native 165Hz.

Does it include a remote control?

No. The monitor is operated with the 4-way joystick underneath the screen and with the LG Switch app on the PC. The box contains the adapter, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 2.1, USB-C and power cables, plus the mouse holder and cover.

Can I connect my laptop with a single cable?
