The MOZA R16 Ultra is a 16 Nm Direct Drive sim racing wheelbase, compatible with PC and Xbox (Xbox requires the ESX wheel), featuring a zero-cogging flat-wire motor and a 21-bit magnetic encoder, built for drivers after high-end force feedback.

It is Moza Racing's next-generation base in the upper-mid segment, developed to succeed and replace the R16. It introduces a high-density flat-wire motor with true zero cogging, dual RGB light strips with telemetry and the NexGen Force Feedback U1 algorithm, for finer detail and a more precise response than the previous generation.

Compatibility

The MOZA R16 Ultra is compatible with PC (Windows) and Xbox, although use on Xbox requires Moza's ESX wheel. It works with leading simulators: iRacing (native support at 360 Hz), Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competizione and EVO, Le Mans Ultimate, F1, EA SPORTS WRC, Automobilista 2, RaceRoom, rFactor 2, DiRT Rally 2.0, BeamNG.drive, Forza Motorsport and Horizon, Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator, among many others. It is a standalone wheelbase: it does not include a wheel or pedals, which are chosen separately within the Moza ecosystem. The wheel attaches via the Quick Release system and peripherals connect to the base's native ports.

Yes. It works on PC (Windows) and on Xbox too, although Xbox use requires Moza's ESX wheel. The base connects to the PC directly through its dedicated port.

What is the zero-cogging flat-wire motor?

It is the R16 Ultra's new motor, with flat-wire winding that delivers higher torque density and cog-free rotation, meaning none of the small magnetic steps you feel when turning. The result is smoother, more faithful force feedback.

Is 16 Nm of torque a lot for sim racing?

Yes, 16 Nm places the R16 Ultra in the high end of Direct Drive, with plenty of headroom to reproduce the weight of the steering in GT, formula or endurance cars with force and detail.

Does the R16 Ultra include a wheel and pedals?

No. It is a standalone wheelbase. The wheel and pedals are bought separately; the base uses Moza's Quick Release and has native ports for pedals, dashboard, shifter, handbrake and emergency stop.
