The Thrustmaster T598-X is a complete Direct Drive bundle for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC with a Direct Axial Drive axial flux motor, 5 Nm of constant torque and +100% overshoot capability, including the base, a 30 cm SPORTCAR wheel rim and the Raceline Pedals LTE pedal set.

The T598-X's key is its axial flux motor, developed with ECM PCB Stator Tech: because it produces no cogging (the parasitic friction typical of radial Direct Drive motors), wheel movement is clean and effects arrive without software filters masking them, with 5 ms of latency. It is a racing simulator ready to play straight out of the box.

Cogging-free with 5 ms latency: Force Feedback arrives clean, without the parasitic friction or the anti-cogging filtering of conventional Direct Drive units.
HARMONY technology: high-frequency torque so you feel kerbs, tyre screech and road texture.
Race Dash screen built into the base to configure Force Feedback without leaving the game.
Detachable 30 cm (11.8") SPORTCAR wheel rim with rubber grips, mag-shift paddle shifters, a multifunctional encoder with 12 assignable actions and a featherweight 811 g.
Metal Raceline Pedals LTE 2-pedal set with H.E.A.R.T. sensors, firmness adjustable via the included springs and 3 adjustment notches, upgradable to 3 pedals with a load cell brake (kit sold separately).

Compatibility

Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC (Windows 10 and 11), plug & play in more than 100 compatible games. This version is not compatible with PlayStation: for PS5 and PS4 there is the T598 bundle.
The Race Dash screen lets you adjust Force Feedback on every platform, but game information (speed, RPM, lap times) is displayed on PC only.
Detachable rim: it can be swapped for other Thrustmaster Wheel Add-On sim racing wheels in formula, GT or rally styles (some models require an adapter).
Expandable with a shifter and a handbrake from the Thrustmaster ecosystem.
Mount it on a desk with the included clamping system or bolt it to a cockpit. Advanced settings with the free My Thrustmaster Panel software (PC only).

What is the difference between the T598-X and the T598?

The hardware is the same, but the official licence differs: the T598-X is licensed for Xbox and works on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC. The T598 is licensed for PlayStation and works on PS5, PS4 and PC. They are not interchangeable.

What is +100% overshoot and where do you notice it?

The T598-X delivers 5 Nm of constant torque but can briefly exceed it, up to double, on force peaks. Because the motor does not saturate, the game's physics effects (a kerb, a snap of oversteer) arrive more immediate and forceful than with a motor capped at its rated torque.

Does the Race Dash screen work the same on Xbox as on PC?

Adjusting Force Feedback from the screen works on every platform, but the display of race data (speed, RPM, lap timer) is available on PC only.

Can a third pedal or a load cell brake be added?

Yes. The included Raceline Pedals LTE set is modular and can be expanded with the upgrade kit that adds a third pedal with a load cell brake, sold separately.

Does it work on a desk or do I need a cockpit?

Both. The bundle includes the table/desk clamping system, and the base has attachment points so it can be bolted to a rigid cockpit.
