The Sabelt Side Mount Reinforcement EVO I is the part that adds rigidity to the side mount bracket when you are fitting a sequential or H-pattern shifter, or a handbrake.

The reason is the type of load. A mouse pad plate or a button box barely stress the bracket, but a sequential shifter and a handbrake are operated with a sharp, repeated pull, and that action transmits forces of a different order into the side arm. The reinforcement spreads that load and stops the assembly giving way or developing play with use. It requires the side mount bracket and is only compatible with the S and X series.
