The Sabelt Side Mount Reinforcement EVO I is the part that adds rigidity to the side mount bracket when you are fitting a sequential or H-pattern shifter, or a handbrake.

The reason is the type of load. A mouse pad plate or a button box barely stress the bracket, but a sequential shifter and a handbrake are operated with a sharp, repeated pull, and that action transmits forces of a different order into the side arm. The reinforcement spreads that load and stops the assembly giving way or developing play with use. It requires the side mount bracket and is only compatible with the S and X series.

When you are mounting a sequential or H-pattern shifter, a handbrake, or both on the side mount. These are peripherals operated with a sharp pull, and they transmit far greater loads to the bracket than a mouse pad plate or a button box.

Can it be fitted without the side mount?

No. Sabelt lists it as an express requirement: the side mount bracket is mandatory. This product holds nothing by itself, it only adds rigidity to the bracket you already have.

Does it fit P Series cockpits?

No. Sabelt lists it as compatible only with the S and X series. It is one of the few parts in the range with that restriction, so it is worth checking your series before ordering.

What is included?

Zero-X anodised aluminium profile, 10 mm plates with powder coating, end caps, fixing part and screws.

Can the position be adjusted?

Yes. The profile and plates allow different adjustments so the reinforcement can be matched to wherever you have set the side mount and the peripheral.
