The Sabelt Sim Foam Pro Kit is a range of foam cushions that moulds the seat to the driver's body, compatible with any racing seat on the market, not only Sabelt's.

It comes straight from competition, where custom filling is the standard way of fitting a homologated seat to each driver. It is offered as three separate pieces — lumbar, seat base and backrest — that sit on top of the existing padding with nothing to bolt down. It is the way to close the gap between your back and the shell, or to gain support without changing seat.

Which version should you choose?

Pick the Lumbar if the issue is the curve of your back or fatigue over long stints: being small and viscoelastic, you can move it until you find the exact spot. The Seat solves a lack of height or support on the seat base, and it is the one that most changes your position relative to the pedals. The Backrest is the one to go for when the shell is wide for your build and you feel lateral play. All three are separate references and can be combined.

Cockpits: irrelevant, since the kit does not fix to the cockpit structure.

Does the Sim Foam Pro Kit work with non-Sabelt seats?

Yes. Sabelt lists it as compatible with any seat on the market. It does not bolt or fix to the structure: it sits on top of the existing padding, so it works just the same in another brand's seat.

What is the difference between the three options?

The Lumbar is a Sim Memory Kit measuring 30 × 15 cm in memory foam, repositionable between the lumbar and cervical areas. The Seat is a firm 40 × 50 cm cushion for the seat base. The Backrest is a firm 40 × 65 cm cushion for the backrest. They are sold separately.

How does it differ from the SRS-1, SRP-1 or SRX-1 pads kit?

The Pads Kit is the seat's original padding: it replaces pieces and attaches to the shell of one specific model. The Sim Foam Pro Kit is an add-on placed on top to mould the seat to your body, and it fits any seat.

Can I buy all three options together?

Yes. Each option is a separate reference and they complement each other: you can combine the seat cushion with the backrest one and add the lumbar wherever you need it.

Do I need any tools to install it?

No. The cushions are placed directly on the seat. Sabelt recommends reading the instructions supplied and watching its video tutorial before first use to position them correctly.
