The Mech Cat Ambilight System is a dynamic lighting kit for sim racing with two LED floodlights and a power supply, compatible with SimHub, Prismatik and the Adalight protocol.

It captures the colours shown on screen and projects them in real time around your cockpit, visually extending the simulator image. Built on Adalight, it works both as a classic screen-capture Ambilight and with effects synchronised to in-sim events through SimHub.

It works with SimHub and with Prismatik through the Adalight protocol, so you can run it as a classic screen-capture Ambilight or with effects synchronised to your simulator data.

Does it work with PlayStation or Xbox?

No. The system connects over USB to a PC, which is where SimHub and Prismatik run. It will not work plugged straight into a console.

What is in the box?

Two Ambilight floodlights, two brackets for the floodlights, a power supply with controller, two GX12 cables to connect the floodlights, a USB cable, a mains cable and the fixing screws.

Do I need to buy a separate power supply?

No. The power supply with controller is included and is sized to run both floodlights of the complete system.

Where do the floodlights mount on the cockpit?

Each floodlight measures 10 × 5 × 3.4 cm and is fixed with the included bracket and screws, usually to the sides of or behind the screen so the light covers the surroundings evenly.
