The Thrustmaster Sol-R 5 Base is a flight stick base for flight and space simulation on PC with 23 assignable actions and X and Y axes using 16-bit H.E.A.R.T. magnetic sensors, compatible with every detachable grip in the Thrustmaster ecosystem.

This is a base, not a complete joystick: it requires a grip, sold separately. Unlike a conventional base, it packs a full control interface — switches, pads, selector and mini-throttle — so you can reach your aircraft's essential functions without going back to the keyboard, all within the Thrustmaster FlightSim ecosystem.

No. This is the base only: the grip is sold separately. It accepts every detachable grip in the Thrustmaster ecosystem, such as the Sol-R, the F-16C Viper, the F/A-18C Hornet or the Sol-R 3 AVA Add-On Grip.

How many axes does the Sol-R 5 Base have?

Two axes of movement (X and Y) with 16-bit H.E.A.R.T. magnetic sensors. The built-in mini-throttle lets you assign a third axis. The Z axis, if you need it, comes from a grip that includes one.
