The PXN Z9 is a 5-series aluminium alloy desk mount for sim racing wheelbases, with a tool-free dual clamp, a four-position tilt panel adjustable up to 15° and a multi-hole base compatible with most wheelbases on the market.
It is how you get a direct drive base onto a desk without building a full cockpit. The two clamps tighten onto either side of the desk with hand-operated locking screws and carry EVA pads that spread the pressure and keep wood, glass or laminate free of marks. The top plate is slotted, so it takes the mounting pattern of direct drive wheelbases from several brands.

Frequently asked questions about the PXN Z9
Does the PXN Z9 work with non-PXN wheelbases?
Yes. The multi-hole base is laid out for several mounting patterns: PXN VD series and V12, MOZA R3 through R21, Logitech G27, G29, G920 and G923, Simagic Alpha and M10, and Fanatec CSL, DD1 and DD2.
What desk thickness does it take?
Up to 7 cm (70 mm). The two clamps tighten with hand-operated locking screws, no tools needed, and carry EVA pads so they do not mark the surface.
Can the wheel be tilted?
Yes. The top panel has four tilt positions, up to 15°, to match the wheel angle to your desk height and driving position.
Can it only be mounted on a desk?
No. It takes three mounting methods: clamped to the desk edge, sat as a flat base on a platform or wheel stand using the pre-drilled bottom holes, and side-mounted on aluminium profile with brackets sold separately.
Will it mark the desk when tightened?
The clamps carry EVA pads that spread the pressure and protect wood, glass and laminate from scratches and marks. Even so, tighten both sides evenly so the assembly does not sit skewed.
What is it made of?
High-strength 5-series aluminium alloy, which gives rigidity without excessive weight and copes well with force feedback vibration over long sessions.
