The Mech Cat Wheel QR Mount is a wall or aluminium profile bracket for hanging sim racing wheels by their quick release, available for Moza, Fanatec QR2, Asetek and Thrustmaster T818, in horizontal or vertical orientation.
Each version reproduces the quick release fitting of its ecosystem, so the wheel is held by the same point it uses to attach to the wheelbase. It bolts to the cockpit aluminium profile or straight to the wall, freeing up desk space while keeping the wheel accessible and protected.

Which version should you choose?
Start with your wheel's quick release: Asetek, Fanatec QR2, Moza / Simagic / Conspit CDR or Thrustmaster T818. Then pick the orientation: horizontal leaves the wheel parallel to the profile and takes up less height, while vertical keeps it on edge and saves depth. Every version mounts the same way and comes with the same fixings.
Compatibility
- Wheels with Asetek, Fanatec QR2, Moza / Simagic / Conspit CDR or Thrustmaster T818 quick release, depending on the version chosen
- Aluminium profile with a 40×40 slot, using the M8 fixings included
- Wall mounting with fixings suited to your wall type, not included
- Independent of the simulator and the operating system: it is a mechanical bracket with no electronics
Frequently asked questions
Which version do I need for my wheel?
The one that matches your quick release: there are versions for Asetek, for Fanatec QR2, for Moza / Simagic / Conspit CDR and for Thrustmaster T818. The selector also lets you choose between horizontal and vertical orientation.
Can it be mounted on a wall or only on the cockpit?
Both. It is designed to bolt onto the cockpit aluminium profile or directly onto the wall.
Which fixings are included?
Two M8x12 bolts and two M8 T-nuts for 40×40 profile slots. For wall mounting you need plugs and screws suited to your wall type, which are not included.
What is the difference between the horizontal and vertical versions?
The orientation the wheel ends up in. Horizontal takes up less height and vertical less depth; the choice depends on the free space you have in the cockpit or on the wall.
Does it need software or any connection?
No. It is a purely mechanical bracket, with no electronics or cables, so it works with any PC or console you use your wheel with.
