The Thrustmaster T248 is a HYBRID DRIVE Force Feedback racing wheel with a built-in screen and the three-pedal T3PM magnetic pedal set, officially licensed for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One and compatible with PC, aimed at drivers who have already started in sim racing and want more power and control.

Its optimised HYBRID DRIVE system combines a belt and gears and delivers 70% more power than Thrustmaster's previous hybrid racing wheels. The screen on the wheel itself lets you switch Force Feedback type on the fly and read telemetry without letting go of the rim — rare among sim racing wheels in this bracket.

Does the Xbox version of the Thrustmaster T248 work on PlayStation?

No. This version is officially licensed for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One and also works on PC. For PS5 and PS4 you need the T248 PlayStation / PC version, which is a separate product.

What is the difference between the T248 and the T128?

The T248 delivers 70% more power than the previous hybrid wheels (against 20% for the T128) and adds a built-in screen with more than 20 displays, three Force Feedback modes, 25 buttons and the three-pedal T3PM pedal set with 4 brake pressure modes.

Does the T3PM pedal set have a load cell brake?

No. The T3PM uses contactless magnetic H.E.A.R.T sensors and offers 4 brake pressure modes via springs, but it is not a load cell brake. For a load cell you need to step up to the T-LCM pedal set.

What is the screen on the wheel for?

It shows more than 20 different displays: engine speed, selected gear, best lap time and other telemetry data, and lets you change the Force Feedback mode or the angle of rotation without leaving the game.

What resolution do the pedals have?

12-bit on PC and 10-bit on Xbox. Being magnetic and contactless, they do not lose precision over time the way potentiometer-based pedals do.

Is the T248 a direct drive wheelbase?

No. The T248 uses the HYBRID DRIVE belt-and-gear system. It is a very complete mid-range wheel, but it does not deliver the torque or the level of detail of a direct drive wheelbase.
