The Thrustmaster TWCS Throttle is a throttle for flight and space simulation, compatible with PC, featuring S.M.A.R.T. sliding-rail technology and 80 mm of travel, designed to manage the throttle with your left hand in a HOTAS setup.
Built as a companion to the T.16000M FCS flight stick, it lets you control speed, heading and auxiliary functions without letting go of the stick. Its low position compared with quadrant-based systems keeps you comfortable during long sessions, and its rear RJ12 connector accepts the TFRP rudder pedals for 3 extra axes.
Key features
- S.M.A.R.T. (Sliding Motion Advanced Rail Tracks) technology: a slide-rail system with 80 mm of travel for smooth, precise and comfortable motion.
- 5 physical axes (+3 optional with the TFRP rudder pedals): throttle, 2-axis mini-stick, toggle rudder and rotary antenna.
- 16-bit main axis (65,635 values); all other axes, 1,024 values each.
- 14 action buttons + one 8-way PoV hat switch: two 4-way hat switches, 3 buttons, a 2-position slider, a push mini-stick and a rotary wheel.
- Manual toggle rudder with a 15° angle and automatic re-centring.
- Tension screw on the underside to adjust the resistance of the S.M.A.R.T. mechanism.
- Ready for cockpit mounting: 2 M6 threads and non-slip rubber pads.

Compatibility
The TWCS Throttle works exclusively on PC (Windows 10, 8 and 7, 32/64-bit) via USB; it is not compatible with consoles. It is designed for flight and space simulators such as Microsoft Flight Simulator, DCS World, X-Plane, Elite Dangerous or Star Citizen, and integrates into the Thrustmaster flight ecosystem alongside the T.16000M FCS flight stick, the TFRP rudder pedals and the MFD panels (sold separately).
Frequently asked questions
Is the Thrustmaster TWCS Throttle compatible with consoles?
No. It works on PC only (Windows 10, 8 and 7, 32/64-bit) via USB; it is not compatible with PlayStation or Xbox.
Is it used with the left or the right hand?
It is designed for the left hand, as a companion to the flight stick in a HOTAS (Hands On Throttle And Stick) setup.
How many axes does the TWCS Throttle have?
It has 5 physical axes and 3 more if you connect the TFRP rudder pedals (sold separately), for up to 8 in total.
Do I need the T.16000M flight stick to use it?
It is not essential: it works as a standalone USB device. It is designed to be combined with the T.16000M FCS and the rest of the Thrustmaster ecosystem through the T.A.R.G.E.T software.
Can I adjust the throttle's stiffness?
Yes. A screw on the underside adjusts the tension of the S.M.A.R.T. rail system so you can set the resistance to your taste.
Can it be mounted in a cockpit?
Yes. It includes 2 M6 threads on the base and non-slip rubber pads to fix it to a desk or a dedicated cockpit.
