The Virtual Fly Switcho Radios is a Plug & Fly radio, autopilot and cockpit control module with a 1024×600 touchscreen for flight simulation, compatible with MSFS, X-Plane and Prepar3D, available in two editions: Standard and E (the latter with a second EFIS screen).

Built entirely from metal, it connects over USB-C and is recognised automatically by the VF-HUB software, with no configuration. It is part of the Virtual Fly range and, thanks to the Switcho family snap system, it combines with the other modules; its aluminium housing is removable for integration into custom cockpit panels.

Which edition to choose?

Choose the Standard Edition if you want a complete radio stack and autopilot to manage the core cockpit functions. Choose the E Edition if you want situational awareness comparable to a G1000 PFD: it adds a second screen with EFIS, HSI and an Engine Display that adapts to the aircraft, ideal for training and ILS/VOR approaches. You can start with the Standard and upgrade to the E later with the Switcho Radios-E Addon.

Compatibility

Compatible with MSFS, X-Plane 11 and 12 and Prepar3D v4-5 through the VF-HUB software, on Windows and macOS. It is optimised for each simulator's default aircraft; third-party aircraft and add-ons may not be fully compatible.

What is the difference between the Standard Edition and the E Edition?

The E Edition includes everything in the Standard and adds a second screen with full EFIS (HSI with CDI, airspeed tape, attitude, altimeter and VSI) and an Engine Display that adapts to the aircraft you fly.

Can I upgrade from the Standard to the E later?

Yes. With the Switcho Radios-E Addon you enter a licence in the VF-HUB software and unlock the second-screen features in under five minutes, without changing the hardware.

Which simulators and operating systems does it work with?

It works with MSFS, X-Plane 11 and 12 and Prepar3D v4-5 through the VF-HUB software, on Windows and macOS.

Does it need configuration?

No. It is Plug & Fly: connect it over USB-C and the VF-HUB software recognises it automatically, ready to use.

Yes. The aluminium housing is fully removable with 8 screws, so the module can be mounted into custom panels, for example with solutions such as StayLevel Avionix.
