The Cube Controls Astra is a formula-style sim racing wheel built entirely from aluminium, with a carbon fibre faceplate, the new ELOI shifter and clutch system and RGB buttons configurable via SimHub. At just 1050 g (without hub), it is the lightest formula wheel in its category without giving up rigidity or build quality.

Cube Controls builds wheels for real F1, GT3, TCR and hypercar racing cars, and that know-how carries over to the Astra: a die-cast aluminium chassis, a 4 mm motorsport-grade carbon fibre plate, a much faster new processor and silicone grips developed over 12 months with professional esports drivers. It mounts on the direct drive wheelbases on the market via a formula-style Quick Release.

Compatible with the main wheelbases

The Astra uses a formula-style Quick Release with 3 bolts (1” and 70 mm PCD). Thanks to the Cube Controls hub — included in the Premium version — it is compatible with 50 mm or 70 mm systems from brands such as Asetek, Cammus, Conspit, Fanatec (QR1, QR2 and Lite/Pro versions), Moza, Simagic, Simucube, VNM and VRS. It is designed for PC (Windows) and configured with SimHub; it is not a console-oriented wheel.

What's the difference between the Astra Base and the Premium?

The Base has standard encoders and controls, no hub and high-end sim racing stickers. The Premium adds CNC-machined aluminium encoders and selectors, includes a hub and motorsport-type stickers; it comes in Black and Blue, which differ in switch style.

What is the ELOI system?

It is Cube Controls' new shifter and clutch system, CNC-machined in aluminium with carbon fibre paddles. It uses an optical sensor, runs silently and has a dual clutch with launch control for fast, precise shifts.

Is the Astra compatible with consoles?

No. It is designed for PC (Windows), with a Q-CONN to USB connection and configuration via SimHub. It is not a wheel intended for PlayStation or Xbox.
