The GSI Formula Pro Elite is a 310 mm formula-style sim racing wheel with a 4.3" LCD touchscreen, a 5 mm carbon fibre faceplate and a 70 mm threaded bolt pattern.

This is the wheel that established Gomez Sim Industries: a 6061 aluminium chassis with a solid carbon faceplate, silicone grips injected directly onto the body and a screen that displays telemetry without relying on an external dash. The version we distribute carries four paddles — two for shifting and two for the dual clutch — in carbon fibre.

Compatibility

It runs over USB on PC (Windows) and mounts on direct drive wheelbases with a 70 mm pattern, either directly or through the corresponding quick release or hub. In our own fitting experience it installs on MOZA R5, R9, R12, R16 and R21; Asetek Forte and Invicta; Simucube 2 Sport, Pro and Ultimate; Simagic Alpha Mini, Alpha and Alpha Ultimate; VRS Direct Force Pro; Cammus DDWB15; Qubic System QS-DD-20; Accuforce through its quick release, and Fanatec DD bases through the Podium Hub.

Not compatible with consoles: it is a USB peripheral for PC.
Connect it to a powered USB hub or an active USB repeater; passive USB extension cables cause problems.

Frequently asked questions

How does it differ from the Formula Pro Elite V2?

This is the first generation of the FPE, which GSI no longer manufactures. The V2 drops the weight to 1.53 kg with dual clutches, adds 66 addressable RGB LEDs, 6.5 Ncm encoders inherited from the Hyper SL, buttons with two RGB LEDs each and a second seven-way switch. The V1 keeps the same structural basis — 5 mm carbon, 6061 aluminium and 310 mm — at a considerably lower price.

Does it work with PlayStation or Xbox?

No. It is a USB wheel for Windows PC. There is no firmware or console licence that enables it on PlayStation or Xbox.

Do I need anything else to mount it?

You need your wheelbase or quick release to use the 70 mm pattern. The "Spec 3" coiled cable is included; the AH50 hub extension is not. If your base sits far away or low, that hub is the usual companion piece.

How many paddles does it actually have?

The configuration we distribute carries four carbon fibre paddles: two for shifting with "CEMS N52" V2 magnets and two for the dual clutch, to manage the bite point off the line.

What software drives the screen?

The screen is fed by the simulator telemetry through the sector's usual dash applications, which let you choose what data to show and how. Setting it up is the same process you would follow with any external dash.

Do the five finishes change anything beyond the colour?

No. Alpha, Crimson, Omega, Onyx and Sapphire share the same electronics, materials, weight and functions; what changes is the faceplate markings and colour scheme.
