Frequently asked questions

What is included in the VPC MT-50CM3 HOTAS Bundle ALPHA Prime Edition?

It includes the VPC MongoosT-50CM3 Flightstick Base, the VPC Constellation ALPHA-R Prime grip, the VPC MongoosT-50CM3 Throttle, a 200 mm VPC extension, the VPC Desk Mount V4-S and V4-L brackets and two VPC Desk Mount adapters for the base and the throttle.

What is a centre-mount setup and what is the 200 mm extension for?

A centre-mount setup places the joystick between your legs, as in a real cockpit; the 200 mm extension raises the grip to that position for more realistic, comfortable flying.

Do I need to buy anything else to set it up?

No. The pack comes with joystick, throttle, extension, desk mounts and adapters, ready to build with no extra accessories; you only need a PC with a USB port.

Which simulators is it compatible with?

It is compatible with PC over USB and works with DCS World, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Star Citizen, Elite Dangerous and any simulator that accepts USB controllers.

Can I swap the grip or expand the setup?

Yes. The whole pack is part of the VIRPIL Controls ecosystem, so you can swap the grip, add panels and expand the setup whenever you like.

Is it compatible with consoles?

No. It is a PC set that connects over USB and is not compatible with consoles.
