The VIRPIL WarBRD-D HOSAS Bundle - ALPHA Prime Edition is a dual-stick flight pack (HOSAS: Hands On Stick And Stick) for space simulation, compatible with PC only, bringing together 2 WarBRD-D bases and the Constellation ALPHA-R and ALPHA-L Prime grips in a ready-to-mount configuration.

Designed for space sims such as Star Citizen, Elite Dangerous or DCS World, this bundle replaces the classic HOTAS with two independent sticks, one for each hand. It is part of the VIRPIL Controls range and keeps all the modularity of the ecosystem, with interchangeable springs and cams to tune the response of each axis. Every component connects over USB and needs no drivers.

Key features

  • Complete dual-stick (HOSAS) setup: 2 WarBRD-D bases with the ALPHA-R Prime (right) and ALPHA-L Prime (left) grips.
  • 14-bit VPC Digital Contactless sensor with 0.02° angle detection on each base, with no wear or drift.
  • Each ALPHA Prime grip adds more than 15 controls: dual-stage trigger, metal flip trigger, analogue stick, 3 four-way hats, 1 two-way hat, brake lever, encoder and a lockable twist axis.
  • Per-axis adjustable clutch dampers and springs in three strengths (standard, heavy and extra heavy) to customise centring and resistance.
  • Programmable RGB lighting and a metal body on both grips, with an adjustable hand rest.
  • Includes 2 VPC Desk Mount V4-S desk stands with dedicated adapters for the WarBRD-D bases.

FAQ

What is included in the VIRPIL WarBRD-D HOSAS Bundle ALPHA Prime Edition?

The pack includes 2 VPC WarBRD-D bases, the Constellation ALPHA-R Prime (right) and ALPHA-L Prime (left) grips, 2 VPC Desk Mount V4-S stands with their WarBRD-D adapters, 2 USB cables (2 m), a full set of springs and AviaSim/CosmoSim cams, and the H2.0 and H2.5 hex keys.

Is it compatible with PlayStation or Xbox?

No. The WarBRD-D HOSAS Bundle ALPHA Prime works on PC (Windows) only via USB and is not compatible with consoles.

What is a dual-stick HOSAS setup for?

HOSAS (Hands On Stick And Stick) uses one stick per hand instead of the classic HOTAS. It is the ideal setup for space sims such as Star Citizen, Elite Dangerous or DCS World, where translation and rotation are controlled independently.

Can I adjust the stiffness and centring of the sticks?

Yes. Each WarBRD-D base accepts springs in three strengths (standard, heavy and extra heavy), AviaSim and CosmoSim cams with or without centring, and per-axis adjustable clutch dampers, all included in the pack.

Do I need to buy anything else to start flying?

No. The bundle comes with the desk mounts, adapters, USB cables and required tools, so it arrives ready to assemble and use on PC.
