The Simucube ActivePedal Pro is an active pedal delivering up to 110 kg of force for sim racing, compatible with PC, which replaces springs and elastomers with a motorised actuator controlled by software.

Built by Granite Devices in Tampere, Finland, it shares its architecture and software with the ActivePedal Ultimate and lowers the entry point into active braking. There are no passive components: the force curve, travel, friction and damping are defined in Simucube Tuner and reproduced identically lap after lap, with automatic profile switching based on the car and the title you are running.

Key features of the ActivePedal Pro

  • Up to 110 kg of force across 5 to 74 mm of pedal travel.
  • No passive components: the feel does not change with temperature and does not degrade with use.
  • Effects generated from simulator telemetry: ABS, traction control, engine vibration and RPM.
  • Software-configurable as a brake, throttle or clutch, with no mechanical changes.
  • Two passive pedal ports, so the rest of your pedal set is tuned from Simucube Tuner as well.
  • Mechanical height adjustment up to 22 mm and angle adjustment up to 18° to match your driving position.
  • Draws 10 to 100 W in average use, peaking at 280 W against the 480 W of the Ultimate.

Available versions

The ActivePedal Pro needs a Simucube Link to connect to your PC. Choose the version with Simucube Link if this is your first Simucube product, or without Simucube Link if you already have one in your rig, for instance alongside a Simucube 3 wheelbase or another ActivePedal.

Compatibility

  • Platform: Windows PC. The pedal is recognised as a standard USB controller, so it works in any driving title that supports USB pedals. Simucube does not claim console compatibility.
  • Active effects: telemetry effects require a title that publishes telemetry and is supported by Simucube Tuner, such as Automobilista 2, Le Mans Ultimate, rFactor 2, EA Sports WRC or Dirt Rally 2. Everywhere else it works as a configurable USB pedal, without effects.
  • Passive pedals: Heusinkveld Sim Pedals Sprint, Ultimate and Ultimate+ integrate into Simucube Tuner through the Heusinkveld connector cable, sold separately. Load cell pedals are also supported through its two ports.
  • Mounting: on the Simucube pedal plate or straight into your rig using the manufacturer 6 x M5 slot pattern.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the ActivePedal Pro and the ActivePedal Ultimate?

The Pro delivers 110 kg of force against the 170 kg the Ultimate offers as standard, and peaks at 280 W rather than 480 W. On travel, the Pro gives a fixed 5 to 74 mm while the Ultimate gives 5 to 62 mm as standard, extending to 5 to 79 mm if it is reconfigured to 120 kg of force. The Ultimate also adds 25 mm of offset adjustment and a power output for daisy-chaining units, which the Pro does not have. Both share the same software, telemetry effects and two passive pedal ports.

Do I need the Simucube Link?

Yes, the ActivePedal Pro connects to your PC through the Simucube Link. That is why this listing offers two versions: one including it and one without, for anyone who already has a Link in the rig from another Simucube product. A single Link is enough even if you add more pedals later.

Is 110 kg of force enough?

For the vast majority of drivers, yes. A real racing brake rarely demands more load than you can comfortably apply over a long stint, and the Pro offers 74 mm of travel against the 62 mm the Ultimate gives as standard, which makes modulating the brake easier. The 170 kg of the Ultimate mainly appeals to drivers replicating a very stiff formula pedal.

Can I use it as a throttle or clutch?

Yes. The function is selected in software from Simucube Tuner, with no mechanical changes. Most drivers use it as a brake, which is where active braking adds the most.

Can I connect my Heusinkveld pedals?

Yes. Simucube has verified the Sim Pedals Sprint, Ultimate and Ultimate+, which connect to one of the two passive pedal ports through a connector cable sold separately. They are then configured from Simucube Tuner as well.

Can I add a second ActivePedal Pro later on?

Yes, although the Pro has no power output, so each unit needs its own power supply. You will also need the Teltonika Ethernet Switch, sold separately, to run two or more Simucube Link devices on the same setup. The Ultimate, by contrast, does allow power to be daisy-chained between pedals.
