The Asetek Initium is a 2-pedal sim racing set (brake and throttle) with contactless Hall sensors, compatible with PC and upgradeable to a load cell or hydraulic brake — designed as the entry point into the Asetek ecosystem without compromising on quality.

Made from glassfibre-reinforced composite with a forged-carbon aesthetic, the Initium pedals are designed and manufactured in Denmark to withstand hard braking and long stints. They connect via USB-C to your PC or to the Initium wheelbase and are fine-tuned in the RaceHub software. Part of the Asetek SimSports range.

Key features of the Asetek Initium

  • 2-pedal set (brake and throttle) with the option to add a separate clutch pedal.
  • Contactless Hall sensors on both brake and throttle for precise, wear-free response.
  • 2-stage spring brake, upgradeable to a load cell (MLCPC) or THORP II hydraulic system.
  • Glassfibre-reinforced composite body that withstands up to 140 kg of force.
  • Dual mounting mode: floor or cockpit, with no complex tools.
  • 2.9 kg weight and plug & play USB-C connection.
  • Full customisation in RaceHub: deadzones, response curves and pedal maps.

Frequently asked questions

Do the Asetek Initium pedals work on console?

The Initium pedal set is designed for PC, via direct USB-C or through the Initium wheelbase. The Initium ecosystem plans Xbox compatibility through a dedicated Asetek wheel.

Can the Initium pedals be upgraded?

Yes. The brake can be upgraded to a load cell (M.L.C.P.C.) or a THORP II hydraulic system, the throttle has a Throttle Upgrade Kit, and you can add a separate clutch pedal.

What sensors do the Asetek Initium use?

They use contactless Hall sensors on both the brake and throttle, delivering precise response with no mechanical wear.

Can I mount them on the floor and in a cockpit?

Yes. The Initium pedals offer two mounting modes, floor or cockpit, and switching between positions takes just a few minutes.

Do I need to install any software?

RaceHub, Asetek's free software, is recommended to adjust deadzones, response curves and pedal maps. Without any setup, they work plug & play over USB-C.
