The Simucube 2 Quick Release Adapter for Simucube 3 replaces the wheelbase's Link Quick Release interface with the previous-generation Simucube Quick Release (SQR) system, so you can keep fitting your Simucube 2 wheels to a Simucube 3 wheelbase.

It is the part that solves the generational jump without replacing your wheel collection: if you own several wheels with a wheel-side SQR, they mount exactly as before and without modification. Installation means removing the original Link Quick Release from the base, fitting the adapter with the included fasteners and tools, and securing the wheel with the locking pin. It is reversible: whenever you decide to move to the Link standard, you simply refit the original.

Do I lose any function by using it?

Yes: by replacing the base's Link Quick Release interface you no longer have the wireless power and data transfer through LightBridge. Data transfer over Bluetooth keeps working as usual.

Is it reversible? Can I go back to the Link Quick Release?

Yes. The adapter is fitted and removed with the included fasteners and tools, so you can refit the original Link Quick Release whenever you decide to move to the new standard.

No. This adapter goes on the Simucube 3 base side and its job is to accept SQR wheels. It does not make a Simucube 2 base compatible with the Link system.
