The SIMRIG SR1 is a 3DOF (pitch, roll and heave) motion system for racing simulators, designed and built in Sweden. With 4 linear actuators, one in each corner of the rig, it accurately reproduces acceleration, braking, cornering, curbs and bumps for realistic immersion.

Compact and quiet, it installs on aluminium-profile rigs in a plug-and-play way, with native virtual-reality support and the SIMRIG Control Center software included. It is the entry point into SimRig motion for drivers who want a reliable, easy-to-integrate system.

SIMRIG SR1: key advantages

  • Realistic 3DOF motion: pitch, roll and heave to simulate acceleration, braking, cornering and terrain vibrations.
  • Compact and quiet design: the ECU fits under the seat and the PSU is fanless; the system is barely audible.
  • Plug-and-play: includes everything needed to install it on aluminium-profile rigs.
  • Broad compatibility: iRacing, Assetto Corsa, ACC, rFactor 2, F1, DCS, Microsoft Flight Simulator and many more.
  • Native VR support (OpenVR and OpenXR) with motion compensation for a more stable experience.
  • SIMRIG Control Center software included, no subscription: it extracts simulator telemetry and turns it into precise motion.

Compatibility and mounting

The SIMRIG SR1 is compatible with the main simulators —iRacing, Assetto Corsa, ACC, rFactor 2, F1, DCS or Microsoft Flight Simulator, among many others— through the SIMRIG Control Center software. It installs on aluminium-profile rigs of 60x20, 40x40, 80x40 and others such as 100x40, 120x40 or 160x40 mm.

There are two mounting systems: the 20x20 mm profiles (a support base under the cockpit, maximum rig width 620 mm) or the EasyBrackets, pre-attached to the actuators to fix them directly to the sides of the rig (no width limit, ideal for 40x80 and larger; not compatible with 40x40). The SR1 is the right choice if you weigh under 80 kg and use a 40x40 or 40x80 rig; for heavier setups, consider the SR2 or SR3, which share software and mounting.

What's in the box?

Frequently asked questions

How many degrees of freedom does the SIMRIG SR1 have?

It offers 3 degrees of freedom (3DOF): pitch, roll and heave, generated by 4 linear actuators, one in each corner of the rig.

Is it compatible with virtual reality?

Yes. It has native VR support (OpenVR and OpenXR) with motion compensation, keeping the image steady while the rig moves.

Which rigs is it compatible with?

With aluminium-profile rigs (60x20, 40x40, 80x40 and others such as 100x40, 120x40 or 160x40). It mounts with 20x20 mm profiles or with the EasyBrackets.

What load does it support?

Up to 175 kg maximum load, including the driver, the rig and the peripherals.

Does the software need a subscription?

No. It includes the SIMRIG Control Center software at no subscription cost, which extracts telemetry from the simulator and turns it into motion.

Which model should I choose between SR1, SR2 and SR3?
