The SIMRIG SR2 is SimRig's best-selling 3DOF (pitch, roll and heave) motion system and its professional-grade option, designed and built in Sweden. With industrial-grade motors, a robust ECU and a 750 W power supply, it moves large, heavy rigs with up to 225 kg of load without compromising speed or sensitivity.
With 4 linear actuators, one in each corner of the rig, it accurately reproduces acceleration, braking, cornering, curbs and bumps. Compact and quiet, it installs on aluminium-profile rigs in a plug-and-play way, with native virtual-reality support and the SIMRIG Control Center software included at no subscription cost.
SIMRIG SR2: key advantages
- Extended load up to 225 kg: ideal for heavy rigs, advanced peripherals and fully equipped drivers.
- Industrial-grade motors with a 750 W power supply: plenty of power to react quickly to every motion command.
- Minimal 7 ms latency and 0.1 mm precision: immediate response to compete at the highest level.

Compatibility and mounting
The SIMRIG SR2 is compatible with the main simulators —iRacing, Assetto Corsa, ACC, rFactor 2, the F1 series, Le Mans Ultimate, RaceRoom, Automobilista 2, Microsoft Flight Simulator, X-Plane or DCS, among others— through the SIMRIG Control Center software. It installs on aluminium-profile rigs of 80x40, 100x40, 120x40 and 160x40 mm.
There are two mounting systems: the 20x20 mm profiles (a support base under the rig, maximum width 620 mm) or the EasyBrackets, pre-attached to the actuators to fix them directly to the sides of the rig (no width limit). It includes the plastic brackets to match your profile. The SR2 is the professional choice for drivers up to 120 kg and 80x40 to 160x40 rigs; for lighter setups choose the SR1 and, for even heavier setups, the SR3.

Frequently asked questions
What sets the SIMRIG SR2 apart from the SR1?
The SR2 uses a 750 W power supply and raises the maximum load to 225 kg (50 kg more than the SR1), aimed at larger, heavier rigs. It shares the 3DOF, software and mounting.
How much load does the SR2 support?
Up to 225 kg maximum load, including the rig, the driver, the peripherals and any additional weight moved by the system.
Which rigs is it compatible with?
With aluminium-profile rigs of 80x40, 100x40, 120x40 and 160x40 mm. It mounts with 20x20 mm profiles (maximum rig width 620 mm) or with the EasyBrackets.
Is it compatible with virtual reality?
Yes. It has native VR support (OpenVR and OpenXR) with motion compensation, keeping the image steady while the rig moves.
Does the software have a subscription cost?
No. It includes SIMRIG Control Center with no subscription, interpreting the simulator telemetry and turning it into motion in real time.
Which model should I choose between SR1, SR2 and SR3?
