The Qubic System QS-TP1 Traction Pro is a 2DOF motion platform for sim racing and flight simulation that adds surge (±30 mm) and yaw (±8°) —genuine traction loss— with under 8 ms of latency. It is PC-compatible and designed to sit beneath a QS-210 or QS-220 set to create a five-axis platform.
It is the traction-loss module within Qubic System's range of motion systems. Two actuators run the length of the frame while the front of the platform acts as a pivot: driven together, they move the cockpit fore and aft (acceleration and braking); driven against each other, they swing the rear around that fixed point, exactly as a car does when it loses grip. It works on its own with the cockpit bolted directly on top, or beneath the brand's vertical actuators to add axes without replacing anything you already own. Made in Poland (EU), it carries a payload of up to 250 kg.
Key features of the Qubic System QS-TP1 Traction Pro
- Traction loss through pure rotation: ±8° of yaw around a front pivot, so you feel oversteer through the seat rather than just seeing it on screen.
- ±30 mm of surge (60 mm stroke) conveying acceleration, braking and weight transfer.
- Fast response: under 8 ms latency, up to 400 mm/s and up to 0.6 G of acceleration.
- Up to a five-axis platform with a 3DOF QS-210 or QS-220 set: the vertical actuators handle body movement and the QS-TP1 handles traction loss, with no overlapping effects.
- 0 to 100 Hz haptic effects: kerbs, road texture, gear changes, ABS and engine vibration without a bass shaker.
- 250 kg maximum payload and fits aluminium profile cockpits from 540 to 756 mm wide.
- Two formats: a self-assembly kit in 3 compact boxes or a pre-assembled version.

Which version should you choose?
Hardware and specifications are identical across both versions. The self-assembly kit arrives in 3 compact boxes that fit through standard doors and up stairs, with no pallet or forklift needed: you build the platform in a few hours following the step-by-step manual. The pre-assembled version arrives with the base platform already built; you simply complete the installation, mount the cockpit and calibrate, making it the natural choice for showrooms, simulation centres or anyone who would rather drive than build. With either version you can add, in the same order, a QS-210 3DOF actuator set, which includes the QS-MC6 controller, or a D-BOX G5 4250i haptic system.
Compatibility
- Platform: PC (Windows) with Qubic Manager software. Not compatible with consoles.
- Games: the main racing and flight simulators on PC; surge and yaw effects depend on the telemetry each title exposes.
- Qubic System motion: QS-210 and QS-220 3DOF sets via the included actuator cups.
- D-BOX: compatible with the D-BOX G5 4250i haptic system.
- Cockpits: aluminium profile cockpits from 540 to 756 mm wide, with adapters in two orientations.
- Controller: requires a QS-MC6, included only in the QS-210 set version and sold separately otherwise. If you already own a Qubic platform, it joins that platform's motion lock circuit.
- Expansion: compatible with the QS-BT1 belt tensioner (sold separately).
- Virtual reality: Qubic Manager is VR Ready, with motion compensation.
Frequently asked questions
What does the QS-TP1 add to my QS-210 or QS-220 platform?
Surge and yaw. The vertical actuators move the car body up, down and side to side; the QS-TP1 sits underneath and moves it forwards, backwards and around, which is what oversteer, traction loss and braking actually feel like. Together they form a five-axis platform.
Can I use the QS-TP1 without vertical actuators?
Yes, with the cockpit mounted directly on the platform. In that setup it delivers traction loss, braking, acceleration, road texture and kerbs, and you can add a QS-210 or QS-220 set later without replacing anything.
Do I need the QS-MC6 controller?
Yes, if the QS-TP1 is your only Qubic System device. The QS-MC6 is included in the QS-210 set version; with the other versions it is bought separately. If you already run a Qubic platform, the QS-TP1 joins its motion lock circuit through the CFG switch settings.
Which cockpits are compatible with the QS-TP1?
Aluminium profile cockpits from 540 to 756 mm wide. The included adapters mount in two orientations: 540 to 650 mm and 646 to 756 mm.
QS-TP1 or QS-CH2?
Both deliver traction loss. The QS-TP1 rotates further (±8.0° of yaw against ±7.2°) and comes as a 3-box kit or pre-assembled; the QS-CH2 has more surge travel and a higher payload, in a pre-built unit designed for a permanent rig.
How long does assembly take and what tools do I need?
A few hours, in a fixed order: bottom frame, top frame, actuators, joining the two, then powered geometry and motion tests. Assembly tools, gloves, slider grease and threadlocker come in the kit; add a tape measure, a torque wrench and about 2 × 2 m of clear floor. Anchoring to the floor is recommended, using fixings suited to your surface (not included).
